Indeed automated forex trading has made things easy for the traders. But still i personally prefer manual trading. In automated trading you have less control over your money, it's the system which takes the decission of when to buy and when to sell. Automated Trading eliminates the emotion out of trading, but that can be done by manual trader as well.
